VOLUNTEERING

Part of our success is through the collaboration of who volunteering to help us to grow daily, not offering only their time and affection to elderly people, but also by helping to promote and divulging the Association near the public.

The AMPMV offers a group of volunteers with a diversified camp of actuation, which helps in the construction of close relations with the elders supported by the AMPMV. From the volunteer we expect:

  • Worry and interest by others and sensibility by elderly people questions, knowing how to respect the other person rights and dignity, regardless of their fragile state.
  • Sense of responsibility, assiduity and compliance of schedules
  • Good relations with the institution and good team work
  • Capacity of maintaining a conversation and to establish free and peaceful relationships

AMPMV has already changed the life of more than 200 people living alone, at their homes, in Downtown Lisbon and Mouraria, so that our elderly people don’t feel forgotten and abandoned.

As a charity, to do so, AMPMV relies on the support of sponsors and donators.
